A fractional sales leader delivers the seasoned experience and strategic insights you need to refine your sales process, accelerate growth, and effectively manage your team. Gain a dedicated strategic partner focused on driving your sales forward, all at a fraction of the cost of a full-time executive hire.

In a fractional sales leadership model, you secure a dedicated portion of an experienced sales leader’s time and expertise. We commit a specific, agreed-upon capacity to your projects and objectives, sharing our time with other organizations. This allows you to access high-impact leadership without the full-time overhead.

Contracts for fractional sales leadership are time-bound. You can choose a 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, or a custom term.

You pay us the consulting fee. You are not hiring us as an employee of your organization. This results in significant savings for your organization when compared to a full-time sales leader.

We frame our work through a continuous loop of clear expectations, strong enablements, and execution measurement.

Within this framing, an engagement could include (depending on the length of contract):

  • There’s a clear understanding and agreement with executives and our team on the business goals. [Expectations]
  • A demand generation strategy (lead generation) is established and articulated. [Expectations / Enablements]
  • A new sales process is created or the existing process is updated, as needed. CRM is updated. [Expectations / Enablements]
  • Market segmentation and go-to-market strategies/tactics are determined, if needed. [Expectations / Enablements]
  • We work with your Product Team to get clear on the product marketing language (value propositions, pain killers, applicable personae, key competitors), then ensure the sales team is trained on this. [Expectations / Enablements]
  • Team sales meetings and one-on-one meeting cadences are established to provide ongoing training and coaching. [Enablements]
  • Sales Mechanic (office hours) sessions are scheduled for drop-in problem solving. [Enablements]
  • The sales team is prepped for any upcoming field events (conferences, trade shows). [Enablements]
  • Team Pitch Practice sessions are held at least 2x/month where the sales team practices and refines the sales pitch. [Expectations / Enablements / Execution]
  • Dashboards and/or automated reports are created for accountability. [Execution]
  • Quarterly business reviews are held, where each rep reviews their progress and refines the territory plan. [Execution]
  • Job descriptions may be edited or new roles scoped, if needed. [Expectations]
  • Candidate vetting and selection (with agreement from senior leadership) can be included. [Expectations]
  • The performance of the sales team members is monitored and addressed, with recommended outcomes to senior leadership. [Execution]
  • Territory sales plan templates are created and training is provided to the sales team. [Enablements & Execution]
  • Travel, in the field, with the sales rep to assist, coach, and inform future planning. [Enablements & Execution]

Fee schedules are structured around two variables: size of your sales team and the duration of the consulting engagement. No team size is too small or too large. Smaller teams take less effort, larger teams require more. Consulting engagements generally run 3-9 months in duration. Longer engagements will benefit from a lower cost-per-month and better sustainability.

Let’s say you wanted to engage us for 6 months to work with your sales team of 4 Account Executives. Here’s a sample of how our costs compare to hiring your own in-house sales leader (Sales VP, Head of Sales, Sales Director, etc.):
